San Francisco’s Buy Local campaign is a collaboration between Mayor Ed Lee and the local business community with a focus on bringing spending into our diverse neighborhoods. Every dollar spent at local businesses in San Francisco directly support jobs and our economy.By shopping, eating, drinking, and playing in our neighborhoods, we ensure our unique corridors remain thriving, successful, and vibrant.
Residents and visitors can participate in the Shop & Dine in the 49 challenge tag a picture (or selfie!) of yourself, your friends or family at your favorite local business on Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook with the hashtag #shopdine49.
Businesses can also sign-up to be part of the campaign by participating through your social media platforms and hashtag #shopdine49. If you would like to put up a Shop & Dine in the 49 window decal at your business, contact your merchant association or Community Benefit District, or contact the Office of Economic and Workforce Development at firstname.lastname@example.org.
In the tool kits, we’ve included material businesses can utilize to connect with the Shop + Dine in the 49 campaign and help raise awareness about the importance of shopping and dining locally.
